Where to start?

I am a mother, a teacher, a musician and a children’s worker in church.  None of which make me an expert in any of these things – I can only speak from my own experience and opinions (which are my stumblings and strivings towards God and do not represent anybody but myself!)  Having been a Christian since the age of 8 (and before that raised by a Christian mum), I am very far from having ‘reached my destination’ -maybe the older I get, the more I realise this truth.  But isn’t it true that we are all masterpieces in the process of being completed?

I passionately believe in giving children the best opportunities – both in school, where I am back in my original field of English (can bore for England about Christina Rossetti and the correct usage of the apostrophe!) and particularly in church.  Listening to a child’s perspective on God, in particular, is one of the most humbling experiences possible.  How come we overcomplicate things so much, when they just come down to the crunch?

I have gained from the wisdom and experience of many other people / webpages, which I may quote from time to time. I hope that in writing this blog, some others may benefit from whatever wisdom God has chosen to give me, in turn.

God bless,

  1. That’s so awesome that you work with children at your church. I’ve been working with teens for almost nine years now and I absolutely love it (even though it’s hard at times)!

It feels so good knowing you are influencing the next generation and doing whatever you can to help them build that relationship with Christ and be all that He has called them to be. May God bless you in your work with them as well as here on your blog!

  2. Thank you for the follow today! I am so glad to meet you here and I see that I’d better mind my “p’s”, “q’s” and apostrophes! Bless you sister!

    • Ha! Apostrophes are important but the spirit behind someone’s words more so. Lovely to meet you on-line too, and I am looking forward to reading what you have to say in the future 🙂

  3. Thank you for the visit to my blog! Looking forward to what you have to share here! God bless!
