Such a beautiful post – so simple and so truthful – but dare we take this challenge?


Tell me about yourself. No, not about your personality. Not about your likes, or your dislikes. Not about your family, or your school. Tell me about the actual physical you. Your body. That thing which encases all those things about you that you’re so eager to tell me about. That thing which, if you’re honest, you’re not a massive fan of. That you try to ignore as much as possible. Or, if not ignore it, you try to beautify it. Make it better. More aesthetically pleasing, if you will.

But answer me this – when was the last time you actually looked at yourself? I don’t mean looking down as you stand there in your undies, quietly dismaying at this bit, and wishing away that bit. I mean, when did you last stand, naked, in front of a mirror, and just look? And not just look, but gaze. Marvel. Stand…
